NEW CONTRACT AWARDED - BANKSIDE PRIMARY SCHOOL, LEEDS

Quest has recently commenced work on what has been billed as Leeds’ most environmentally-friendly primary school!
We have been awarded the contract to design, manufacture, supply and install aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling at Bankside Primary School, Harehills, a £9.1m state-of-the-art building developed by one of our key clients, Kier Northern.
Quest will be installing aluminium windows and curtain walling fabricated mechanically from our Technal FXi46 and MX ranges. We hope to contribute the project team’s (made up of Leeds City Council, Education Leeds, Kier Northern and the Strategic Design Alliance) aim for a BREEAM Very Good rating.
Quest’s contract, worth approximately £300k, will take approx three months to complete. Managing Director Tony Douglas says “Quest has developed a close working relationship with all the team at Kier Northern from estimating through to on site projects teams. Relationships have been built up over a number of years and our no-nonsense approach and understanding of our partners’ requirements ensure that a successful project is delivered”
The school is due for final completion in November 2010 and will provide modern teaching accommodation for up to 630 pupils and will include a 52 place nursery and community facilities.
