BRADFORD BSF SCHOOLS PHASE 2 TENDER SUCCESS
05/12/2008
Quest is delighted to announce that, after several months of negotiations, we have been awarded the circa £1.4m curtain walling, door and composite window packages at three purpose built Primary Schools in Bradford.
Works at the three schools, Chellow Heights SEN Primary School, Delius SEN Primary School and Pheonix SEN and Guardhouse Primary School, form part of Phase 2 of the Government funded Bradford ‘Building Schools for the Future’ (BSF) initiative.
Quest will be continuing its partnership with Educo UK, which is a joint venture of Ferrovial and Costains, two of the largest construction companies in Europe.
On Phase 1 of the BSF Scheme Quest carried out works at two secondary schools with Educo UK - Titus Salts Grammar School and Buttershaw High School. Both projects were a great success and hence the negotiated package on Phase 2.
Quest will be designing, manufacturing and installing Technal MX curtain walling, CD doors and will also design and install composite windows supplied by Rationel Ltd.
We are due to commence installation on site in February 2009 at Pheonix and Chellow schools. The work on each site is scheduled to take between eight and ten weeks to complete with Delius due to commence in April 2009.
We are very much looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead of us and are proud to be associated with the BSF programme in Bradford. As Bradford-based company, we employ local people who have been educated in the schools that we are to re-build.
We are looking forward to working with Educo UK again and delivering a quality building on time and on cost.
